An Academic Career Workshop for Women in Mechanical Engineering

The Rising Stars in Mechanical Engineering workshop is aimed at women graduate students and postdocs considering future careers in academia. The Rising Stars event for Mechanical Engineering will take place at MIT from October 23-24, 2025. We have invited over 30 of the top junior academic women in Mechanical Engineering from around the US to gain career skills, connect with a cohort of peers, and engage with mentors.
The workshop is hosted on a rotating basis between the Mechanical Engineering Departments of Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
